Robinson’s Rescue Low Cost Spay/Neuter is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to reduce cat and dog overpopulation and euthanasia in Northwest Louisiana by providing affordable spay/neuter services and educating the public about the importance of having pets spayed and neutered.
Robinson’s Rescue Low-Cost Spay/Neuter began in 2005 as a group of concerned citizens who met regularly to learn about best practices and programs in other communities that successfully lowered euthanasia numbers. After conducting extensive research, the group determined that a low-cost, high-volume, high-quality spay/neuter clinic was the answer. Thus, on September 15, 2008 Robinson’s Rescue was founded.
Robinson’s Rescue was the first high-volume spay/neuter clinic in Louisiana and is the only clinic of its kind in Northwest Louisiana. The clinic’s spay/neuter procedure is based on the Humane Alliance model of ensuring high-quality medical care for the animals with efficient methods for treating as many animals as possible.
Each day we are “saving lives through prevention” by performing an average of 35 surgeries per day, five days a week.
In addition, Robinson’s Rescue’s founders, President/Medical Director, Dr. Andrea Master Everson, and the facility’s staff and volunteers continue to work with community leaders, animal support and rescue groups, police, educators, and the public to help develop an awareness of the value of animal life and the direct relationship between the treatment of animals and the welfare of people in our community.
