Murphy – Shreveport Metropolitan Ballet

Murphy is the perfect dog to represent the Shreveport Metropolitan Ballet. Svelte, lithe, and graceful, Murphy loves to dance just as much as his mom, Kendra Meiki, even if his dancing consists of chasing the senior company dancers around the studio. He entered his mom’s life as a Christmas present, and he has made himself an integral part of life ever since. When he isn’t keeping the dancers on their toes, he loves to just sit still and cuddle, and maybe munch on some goldfish crackers. At the end of a long day of dancing, running, resting, and gnawing on his prized cow femur, Murphy can be found sprawled out across his (and his parents’) bed, having a well-deserved snooze.

The Shreveport Metropolitan Ballet has been bringing world class performing arts to the Ark-La-Tex since 1973, and has helped make Shreveport a cultural beacon in the region. Guests artists from around the world bring insights and techniques to help expand the company’s horizons, and graduates of the program have gone on to dance in professional companies around the world! Please join Robinson’s Rescue in thanking the Shreveport Metropolitan Ballet for their support of Best in Sheaux.
