You can now schedule your spay/neuter appointment online!
Robinson’s Rescue performs spay/neuter surgeries each weekday. We perform surgeries for dogs on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. We perform cat surgeries on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. We do not perform surgeries for the public on Thursdays. If you are a volume client that would like to schedule an appointment with us, you cannot schedule an appointment online and will still need to call 318-221-0017 ext. 7.
All cat appointments have a drop-off time of 8am and all dog appointments have a drop-time time of 8:30am.
If you have recently adopted a pet from a shelter, please schedule your pet’s appointment for at least 2 weeks after they have left the shelter.
After you schedule an appointment, Robinson’s Rescue will need to approve your appointment. Once your appointment is confirmed, you will receive an email confirmation. This email will contain information about your pet’s appointment, including pre-op instructions.
If you do not provide your email address and click “Skip Email Confirmation,” you will not receive the following information regarding your appointment:
“All cat appointments have a drop-off time of 8am and all dog appointments have a drop-off time of 8:30am. You will pick your pet up at 7:30am the following morning, unless your appointment is on a Friday. On Friday, we do same-day release at 3:30pm.
Please make sure your pet does not have any food OR water past 10pm the night before surgery. Your pet must also be in good health, have no pre-existing conditions, and cannot be on any medication.
If your pet is over the age of 7 years old, he/she must visit your regular Veterinarian within two weeks of your appointment date to receive a Chemical Panel 12. This is a simple blood test to ensure that your pet is healthy enough to undergo the spay/neuter surgery.
On the morning of your appointment, please leave your pet in your vehicle for just a moment, so that you may come inside and fill out our admission form. We require this for the safety of your animal. After filling out the admission form, you will turn it in to our Office Manager along with your pet’s proof of rabies vaccination (if applicable). If your pet is not up-to-date on their rabies vaccination, we will be required to administer a vaccine for an additional $10. Please wait in our lobby until your name is called. A Robinson’s Rescue Veterinary Technician will call you over to ask a few questions and then tell you when to bring your pet inside. When you bring your pet inside, all cats must be brought inside in a carrier and all dogs must be brought in on a leash or carried by you.
You will not pay until pick-up. We accept cash or check only. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to give us a call at 318-221-0017. Thank you!”
If you do provide your email and do not receive an appointment confirmation email, your appointment has not yet been confirmed. Please do not show up for an appointment if your appointment has not been confirmed.
Finally, when scheduling your appointment online, please do NOT leave questions for us in the “Notes” section. Only use this section to provide additional information about your pet if necessary. If you have a question, please call us at 318-221-0017 ext. 7.
